The Amsterdam Bar chosen as one of the best beer bars in America by Draft magazine

We were really excited to be chosen for this honor by Draft magazine. Here's how they described us:
Not your average yuppie-filled pub, the Amsterdam is a low-key, TV-free zone where you can concentrate on the drinking menu full of beers (try the Live Oak Hefe Weizen brewed in Austin). Kick it inside the airy, high ceilinged bar, or out on the patio during that nice Texas weather--just watch out for beer-juggling bartenders.
That sums us up pretty nicely, I think.

After we were selected, NBC 5 was nice enough to stop by and interview Mike Scheel, one of our owners, about the award.

Finally, we'd like to send a shout out to the two other Dallas bars selected for the list of best beer bars: The Libertine Bar and The Old Monk--we're sure they are just as excited as we are.

Congratulations! Looks like draft magazine did it's homework, glad they recognized true bar style when they found it.
