Benefit in Memory of Thomas Davidson

"Dance Woman" by Thomas Gregory

I was deeply saddened to read this story over the weekend, but it wasn't until today that I made the connection to the Jacket Gallery, owned by one of our co-owners. From Quick:
Tragedy at the Jacket Gallery in Expo Park

Thomas [Davidson], a local metal sculptor, opened a show at the new Jacket Gallery last Thursday. On his way home, he died in a motorcycle accident. He hit one of the guardrails off I-30, where it merges onto Central. Police didn't find his body until four hours later. (Detailed Fox story about the accident here.) He also had two kids.

The Jacket Gallery -- which is owned by Sheldon Hubbard, the co-owner of the Amsterdam Bar -- is having a special show on Thursday night from 6 to 10 p.m. Proceeds from any works sold will benefit Gregory's children's college funds.
Please turn out and help support this event. Benefit at the Jacket Gallery 6-10 PM, Thursday April 17th.
