Dallas locals Shelley Carrol, Mike Scheel and Erin Nicole Parisi are making Amsterdam Bar into a Labor Day weekend destination location. Jazz music has brought much acclaim and notoriety to the bar. Recently, the Dallas Observer crowned Amsterdam Bar the “Best Dallas Jazz Club” in Dallas.

2010 Fest Theme is the Many Faces of Jazz. This year’s festival will highlight and pay tribute to the history and varied musical styles of jazz – the great American music tradition. Exposition Park has played a key role in Dallas’ jazz and blues music history. The Jazz Fest hopes to bring awareness to the past history and celebrate the present jazz revival in the area.
